What to Do If You Cannot Receive Emails from VTech
Introduction

You are required to use a valid email address to receive important information required to access your VTech Parent Account. VTech will use this address to send you the following:

  • Reset link if you forgot your password
  • A Parental Consent Code (new members only)
  • Information about our privacy policy (existing members)

Read the instructions below if you are having trouble receiving any of these emails.


Cannot Receive the Password Reset Email

If you click the "Forgot your password?" link but do not receive a password reset email, try the following:

  • If you do not receive the email within an hour, check the junk box of your email account.
  • Make sure you are checking the correct email address. The password reset email will be sent to the address you provided when you registered for a Parent Account. If your tablet has already been registered and you aren't sure which address you used, go into Parental Controls and touch "Parent Account" to see your account information.
  • Make sure your email is valid. If the email you used to create your account is an invalid email address, contact our Customer Service team for assistance.

Cannot Receive the Parental Consent Code

If you are creating a new VTech Parent Account, you will need to receive a Parental Consent Code in your email box before you can register. If you click the "Get Parental Consent Code" button but do not receive an email, try the following:

  • Double check that you entered the email address correctly.
  • Make sure the email has not been used to create a VTech Parent Account before. If the email has been used to create a VTech Parent Account, you will receive an email with the title Account Security Information saying that someone is trying to create a new account using your email address. To register a new tablet under an existing Parent Account, select "Log In With Existing Account" on the first registration screen.
  • If you do not receive the email within an hour, check the junk box of your email account.
  • Use a different valid email address and retry.



Cannot Receive the Privacy Policy

When you log in to Learning Lodge for the first time after services have resumed, a pop-up will appear to let you know that VTech's privacy policy has been sent to your email address. You should receive an email from VTech with the title Your Consent to VTech’s Collection and Use of Personal Information from Your Child or Children. If you do not receive this email, try the following:

  • If you do not receive the email within an hour, check the junk box of your email account.
  • Make sure you are checking the correct email address. The password reset email will be sent to the address you provided when you registered for a Parent Account. If you aren't sure which address you used, go into Parental Controls and touch "Parent Account" to see your account information.
  • Make sure your email is valid. If the email you used to create your account is an invalid email address, you may follow the steps below to enter a Contact Email. This Contact Email will be used to receive any subsequent emails regarding your VTech Parent Account.

1. When you see the message window saying that an email was sent to your inbox containing important privacy information, touch the text circled in red on the screen.




2. Enter the new email address in the "Contact Email" field and repeat it in the "Confirm Contact Email" field.


3. You will see a similar message window saying that an email was sent to your new email address. Touch "OK" to continue.

Check the inbox of your new email address for the important privacy information.
