- A paper plate
- Green paper
- A pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
- Any other decorations you want
- Use the plate as the base of your wreath. The "leaves" will be stuck around the plate. You can colour the plate if you wish.
- Draw round your child's hand on the green paper and cut out the shape you just made. You'll need enough hand cut-outs to fill the wreath (depending on the size of your wreath, around 25 should be enough)
- Glue the hand prints around the edge of the plate, overlapping the one below it. As you keep adding them, it should start to look more and more like a wreath.
- Decorate your wreath using ribbons or tinsel.
- Hang your wreath on a door and admire your hard work.
- Instead of using green paper you could use white paper and decorate each hand print individually. This means you can create a funky multi-coloured wreath.
- If you don't mind a little mess, make the handprints using green paint painted onto your child's hands then pressed on to white paper. After sticking to the plate, add little blobs of red for berries.
